WAZE 4.0, UPDATED VERSION OUT ON iOS
Waze, the all so popular socially focused, best navigation app in the world that was acquired by Google in 2013, has released its first major app update since its acquisition.
The new features of the Israeli mapping software company focus on easier navigation, better battery consumption, fewer clicks, and improved reporting and sharing. The new version of Waze 4.0 is currently available for iOS, (Android version is reportedly coming soon).
Waze application uses crowdsourced data to warn the drivers about various happenings on the road, including accidents, road block, police speed traps and more.
The list of new features include:
- Reduced battery consumption,
- Send locations and directions at a fewer tap,
- View reports, add a stop on the way, check alternate routes, instantly send ETA to friends and family, (new ETA panel that organizes everything in one place),
- New, easy-to-read map,
- Faster, more visual reporting menu that makes it easier to help others on the road,
- Color-coded reports and alerts, making recognition on the map easier,
- Smart reminders to leave on time for your Calendar events based on traffic conditions and drive times.
It is indeed going to help the users of the app and we hope it gets updated for Android soon!!!
